Prefab countertops are factory-cut to standard dimensions — finished, polished, and ready for pickup. Custom countertops are cut to your exact measurements by a fabricator, which typically adds 2–4 weeks to your project and increases the cost. Prefab is ideal when your layout fits standard sizing; custom fabrication is better for unusual or non-standard kitchens. Our team can help you determine which approach fits your space before you commit to anything.

No — engineered stone is non-porous and never requires sealing. This is one of the main reasons it's the most popular prefab countertop choice in Los Angeles kitchens. Granite and quartzite, being natural stone, are porous and require sealing periodically (granite annually, quartzite every 1–2 years) to maintain stain resistance.
