Countertop Measuring Worksheet

Countertops are ordered by the slab, so what we need from you is different from a cabinet layout: the length of each run, the finished depth, and where the sink and cooktop sit. Fill this in and we will tell you exactly which prefabricated sizes cover your kitchen or bath, how many slabs it takes, and where a seam has to fall.

STEP 1

Measure each run separately

RUN A RUN B A = ? B = ? Run A takes the corner. Run B starts where A ends.

Measure along the wall, not the cabinet fronts. Number every run — A, B, C. Mida pegado a la pared, no al frente del gabinete. Numere cada tramo.

STEP 2

Confirm the finished depth

BASE CABINET 25½″ finished 24″ cabinet 1½″ overhang 4″ splash

STEP 3

Locate the sink and cooktop

Mark every bowl center

Pick the faucet drilling

110″ RULE

Every prefabricated slab is 110″ long, so any run longer than 110 inches needs a seam. If one of your runs is over 110″, mark on your sketch where you would rather the seam fall — usually at a sink, at an inside corner, or behind the range where it reads least.
